Community Church Family -

- choosing to be grateful -

As you know, we are in the middle of Project 23/24…and the church property is obviously “under construction.”  A big thank you to the three teams (construction, interior design, finance) who are partnering with DeLeers… their many hours of dedication to the +/- 14,635 details are so greatly appreciated.  While we don’t have an exact date for when the project will be finished, we are looking at somewhere around Thanksgiving.  We are excited at the financial process we are making, though there is still a long way to go.

Between now and then…here are details regarding locations…

   * Oasis - all events during the week will be at the Oasis (white house just north of the main church building)

   * Sundays 7 - Many, many hours have been spent in recent months looking for an adequate venue to meet.

There have been many phone calls, meetings, and emails…and a lot of prayer throughout this process.

The Catholic Church in Fish Creek just reached back out to us, indicating that we are able to use their

facilities on Sunday mornings (as they meet other days of the week).  Effective immediately, we will

be meeting on Sundays at 9:30am at the Catholic Church in Fish Creek.   (located on Main Street

4012 WI 42 - between Nor Door Bike Shop and Wild Tomato Pizza).

A number of things are going to be imperative…

1- As Veggietales says, “A Thankful Heart Is a Happy Heart!”    =)

As God’s Word says, “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who

belong to Christ Jesus.”  (I Thessalonians 5:18)

2- Working together…  As with all things at Community Church, we are a family…a body of

believers God has brought together.  How important to remember that God is not just

concerned with the end of Project 23/24.  He is just as (if not more?) concerned with the

process during these months.  Will we work together?  Will we seek to be part of the

solution?  Will be support and be gracious to one another?

  ...so……….. “How can I help?"

3- Things will definitely be different in these next months…  However, how wonderful it will be

when - for God’s glory! - people see in us a church family that is joyful through this process,

rather than a church that grumbles.

4- Refer back to #1 above.  =)

And, one final thought, as we choose to be grateful:  Maybe, just maybe…as we meet at a different location... God has in store for Community Church reaching people that we might otherwise not have reached.  After all, as important as location may be, “the church” is not a building… “the church” is God’s people.
